Taking Matters Further
ACE encourages parents to resolve their problems by negotiation wherever possible, but sometimes they may need to take an issue further. This leaflet takes parents from complaints at school level to those made to the local education authority, Secretary of State, Ombudsman, Information Commissioner and the General Teaching Council. It also considers the pros and cons of involving a solicitor and when legal action might be appropriate.
