Good communications are a key factor in developing a successful partnership between local education authorities and parents of children with special educational needs (SEN). ACE has joined with the Yorkshire and Humberside SEN Regional Partnership to produce "Websites That Work For Parents", a guide which helps LEAs comply with the legal requirements and satisfy Ofsted inspectors; use language parents can understand; engage schools in agreeing levels of SEN provision and create accessible, parent-friendly websites.
